A Great Destination for History Lovers
Located in the historic Union Depot, circa 1903, the Elgin Depot Museum was restored in 2002 and includes an extensive archive collection and serves as the repository for historic photographs in the community. The museum is operated by the Elgin Historical Association and has both rotating exhibits and permanent exhibits on the development of Elgin and a display honoring area Veterans. The Museum's volunteers and staff are available to answer questions and provide group tours by appointment. School tours are also available.
